Bike Month Events within Halton Municipalities
Date: Thursday, June 6th, 2024
Time: 7:00am - 10:30am
Location: Oakville Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Rd, Oakville, ON
Employees encouraged to cycle to work, Town of Oakville included. Coffee and pastries to be provided for free at Town Hall to replenish your energy!

In the evening, bike on over to River Oaks Public School for a family friendly tradeshow.
Oakville Downtown BIA Market / Decorate Your Bike
Date: Sunday, June 9th, 2024
Time: 11:00am - 5:00pm
Location: Oakville Town Square – Between Lakeshore and Church, Oakville, ON
Bring your bike and enjoy a community market on George Street. Vendors include produce, handcrafted goods, plants and more! In addition, you can win a prize if you decorate your bike and bring it to the Town of Oakville stall!

Learn how to fix up your bike at the Central Library. A professional technician will be onsite to help get your bike in tip-top shape!
Horseman and Bicyclist Display
Date: Saturday, June 15th, 2024 (Exhibit on display all month long)
Time: 10:00am - 2:00pm
Location: Oakville Museum at Erchless Estate, 8 Navy Street, Oakville, ON
Cycling has long been a popular pastime in Oakville, with the Queen’s Hotel advertising itself as the headquarters for “horsemen and bicyclists” back in 1897. Visit the Oakville: Headquarters for Horsemen and Bicyclists display at the Oakville Museum all month long, to view bicycles from the 1800s and be inspired to jump on your own bike. On June 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. town staff will be onsite to share cycling safety tips and information, giveaways and more.
Safe Cycling 101 Workshop: CycleTO Webinar

Learn everything you need to know about cycling with confidence! Topics will include: equipment and bike fit, safe riding techniques, rules and responsibilities, interactions with others, choosing your route and more.

Basic Bike Maintenance Workshop: CycleTO Webinar

Let us show you the basics of how to maintain your bike. Topics include: safety checks, assessing air pressure and flat tires, tightening your brakes, lubing your chain, and ensuring your bike is the right fit!
