Discover Hidden Gems in your community.
Looking for somewhere fresh to ride? We are excited to launch a brand new Hidden Gems series as part of Bike Month across the GTHA and Guelph. These weekly features will give you insider tips on some of the best trails, paths, and on-street bike facilities. Whether you cycle to work, ride the trails on the weekend, or bike to get around town, we hope you’ll find a hidden gem. Then, share it with a friend, colleague, or family member who wants to give biking a try this spring.
This new trail features colourful wayfinding, rest stops, and even bike repair stations.
As recommended by the Active Transportation Master Plan and with funding through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program, the Town of Oakville has initiated a four metre wide asphalt multi-use trail.
It runs along the Crosstown Trail from Neyagawa Boulevard to east of Trafalgar Road.
This is an important addition to Oakville's active transportation network.
The trail features rest areas, bicycle repair stations, tourist information kiosks, and graphic markers for wayfinding.
Get out and ride on Oakville's new multi-use trail!
