This event has already taken place.

Note: This is a ride reserved for women and those who identify as female.

Celebrate Bike Month with us as we explore the serene Tommy Thompson Park on a slow-roll ride with fellow women cycling enthusiasts! Meet us at 9 am on June 11 at the Visitor’s Centre at the park entrance and experience Toronto’s urban wilderness in a car-free bike ride perfect for both novice and experienced cyclists, recreational riders and casual pedalers.

Where: Tommy Thompson Park, 1 Leslie Street. Meet at the Visitor’s Centre

When: Sunday June 11th from 9 am to 11 am

Our route: We’ll cycle the east side trail out and back - a distance of 11 k. There will be a few stops along the way as well as an an optional loop to Cherry Beach and back if people are interested. Please note that we will be sharing the path with other people biking, walking, running and looking at birds so we’ll ride with care and courtesy.

Weather: The ride goes rain or shine . However, we will cancel if the forecast is for heavy rain. All who RSVP will be notified by 7 am on June 11th if the ride is canceled.

Getting there: The park is accessible by car, bike and transit.

Car: Parking is available at the park and along Leslie Street and Unwin

Bike: The park is located on the Waterfront Trail between Ashbridges Bay and Cherry Beach.

TTC: The park is a 5 minute walk from the Commissioner’s Street bus stop at Commissioner’s and Leslie. This stop is serviced by the 83 Jones Southbound bus, which runs between Donlands Station on Subway Line 2 and Commissioner’s Street.

Other considerations: Bring water and a snack and don’t forget your sunscreen. It can be chilly and breezy by the lake so dress in layers. Washrooms and water are available at the Visitors Centre and there is a portable washroom near the trail near the Cherry Beach Trail connection.
