Join Environment Hamilton's 2019 Carbon Cycle to the Waterford Conservation Area this summer to raise money and awareness for the climate crisis.
Ride from West Hamilton to the Waterford North Conservation Area. This year's route is new and has us cycling approximately 95% of the time along beautiful rail trails from west Hamilton, past Brantford to Waterford. Our destination this year is Waterford North Conservation Area - where we will be camping overnight. The ride is approximately 70kms each way. Environment Hamilton will provide route guides, luggage and gear transport, bike repair support, water stops, two meals and overnight camping. Most of the ride is on bike trails with this new route. No highway riding!
Our Carbon Cycle Fundraiser is critically important for raising revenue to support our Climate Action Campaign work. Now more than ever we need your support to fight the climate crisis so we urge you to help by getting friends and family to sponsor your ride with a donation. To this end, we are now offering two adult registration options. The first option is a $125 Rider Fundraiser option. When you register at this rate, we are looking for you to commit to fundraising additional dollars for EH. Once you register, we are asking you to share your personal fundraising goal with us.
The second option is a $250 Rider Non-fundraiser option for those who want to ride but do not want to fundraise. We are also offering a Youth Rider rate of $50 for youth who are 16 years of age or younger. For parents intending to bring along non-riding wee ones, there is no registration fee for them.
